Although there are cases in which a burion is painless, most instances show significant pain, especially when mobile. Hence, a bunion treatment is needed.
Another note on burion is that it tends to occur more on women than men. In countries within North America and Europe, women wear tight shoes and restrictive footwear. Experts believe that this is one of the reasons on why the big toe drifts. And it’s not only bunions that this tight footwear gives women. Hammertoe and Neuroma are also common results.
Aside from hitting tight shoes and high heels, bunions may also be cause be hereditary sickness and feet features. For instance, people with too wide a foot and fatty ligaments are more likely to obtain bunion than those who have long and elongated feet and solid ligaments. These traits are passed down through blood.
The fact that it’s swollen, blisters are common in the area around the bunion. This will certainly make the pain unbearable making the patient wish that the toe is cut off. To ease the pain, pain relievers are suggested; anti-inflammatory drugs for swelling. Then again, these are just temporary bunion treatments. A permanent fix is needed.
For a severe case of bunion, surgery might be needed. Although costly, surgeries for bunions are low risk. The process will start off from removing the bursal sacs and repositioning the ligaments and the joints. This will see to it that you get to wear shoes again on a perfect fit.
